Slate Capital Group invests in Vertical Mechanical Group

Slate Capital Group, a private equity investment group based in Baltimore, Nashville, Tennessee, and Cincinnati that partners with lower-middle market companies, invested in Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG), a full-service HVAC and plumbing contractor specializing in large scale commercial projects.

Terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Formed from the 2021 merger of Anderson Mechanical Services Inc. (AMSI) and Inspiration Plumbing Company (IPC), the Bristol, Virginia-based VMG specializes in mechanical construction, upfits, and service for large hotels, multi-family housing, and senior living facilities.
